The Somerset Lone Mountain Purple Star Committee would like to welcome our wonderful military families to our warm and caring community of learners! Our Purple Star Committee was established to provide support, guidance and comfort to our transitioning military families. As members of the military community, we know how challenging it can be to always be on the move around the country and the world. But, that’s what makes each and every one of us, from our esteemed veterans to our currently serving military members and spouses to our dedicated, hard-working, passionate young men and women who are Wildcat students, deserving of a heroes welcome! Our Purple Star Committee student leaders and teachers are here to support you and hope that you will enjoy being a part of our Wildcat military family!
Our Battle Born state of Nevada is a member of The Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3). The MIC3 provides assistance in transitioning students and provides consistency for military affiliated students as they transfer between school districts and member states.
